About Technological University Dublin

Technological University Dublin popularly known as TU Dublin stands as Ireland's first Technological University. Officially established on 1st January 2019, its origins trace back to 1887 with the founding of the City of Dublin Technical Schools. TU Dublin progressed through the amalgamation of three partner Institutes, namely Dublin Institute of Technology, Institute of Technology Blanchardstown, and Institute of Technology Tallaght. At present, TU Dublin is the second-largest third-level institution in Ireland, serving an enthusiastic student population of approximately 28,500 learners. This includes over 3000 international students from 100+ countries. The University is spread across five campuses, including Grangegorman, Aungier Street, Bolton Street, Blanchardstown, and Tallaght. The flagship Grangegorman campus is the largest investment in Higher Education in Ireland and has beautifully restored the historic part of Dublin City with state-of-the-art facilities. The University's vision to "Create a Better World, Together" is condensed in its Strategic Intent 2030. This strategy aims to advance individual talents, promote sustainability, and deliver shared impact through collaboration. This ambitious roadmap of the second phase focuses on three key pillars: People, Planet, and Partnership. Academically, TU Dublin offers a comprehensive range of postgraduate and undergraduate programs through its five faculties. It also focuses on a multidisciplinary approach to ensure that students receive a well-rounded education aligning with the modern workforce. TU Dublin has exhibited significant growth in research, with a notable increase of over 75% in research award value over a three-year period. Additionally, its award-winning technology transfer and business incubation activity created 400+ sustainable new businesses valued at approximately €700 million. TU Dublin's employability outcome with a placement rate of 93% is evident through its strong industry partnerships and emphasis on practical experience. The University facilitates over 800 collaborations with industry partners, providing students with valuable opportunities for internships, work placements, and collaborative projects. These initiatives are designed to enhance students' skills and improve their career prospects upon graduation.
